Thomas Downs
Tom has been a Certified Public Accountant for over 40 years and was one of the founding partners of Downs & Colquitt, CPAs. In addition to being a CPA, he is an attorney and is certified as a Personal Financial Specialist. His practice areas include income, gift and estate tax and financial planning for individuals and businesses.
Mr. Downs is a graduate of the University of Alabama, B.S. 1972 and of Woodrow Wilson College of Law, J.D. 1976. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA) and the State Bar of Georgia. Mr. Downs is Past President of the Cobb County Estate Planning Council and of the Rotary Club of Marietta.
Mr. Downs is married to Pam, and they have three daughters – Annie, Tatum, and Sally. In his free time, Tom enjoys golf and working out. His most unusual hobby is stand-up comedy. He placed second in the 2007 Funniest Accountant in the South competition.
Celeste Uliss
Celeste is a Client Services Associate and has been with InvestSouth since 2008. She oversees administration of accounts and is the liaison between the client and the advisor. Celeste graduated from the University of Nevada with a degree in Finance. She is the mother of three grown boys and lives in Woodstock with her husband, Mike. She enjoys playing tennis, golf, and cheering on the UGA Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons.
